The 2025 and 2024 ID.4 use the same electric setup with a 62-kWh lithium-ion battery in the base model and 82-kWh in the Pro and Pro S trims.
In practical terms, this gives a range of 332 km in the base model and 468 km in the Pro and Pro S trims. Equipped with two electric motors, the all-wheel drive trims reduce this range to 423 km.
Although the 2026 model brings a few improvements to charging, as of the latest update, in Canada, the 2026 ID.4 is not expected to be available.
2025 VW ID.4 vs. 2024: onboard technology
Onboard technology is one of the areas revised for the 2025 Volkswagen ID.4.
The 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 introduces the 5.0 version of the infotainment system, still on a 12.9-inch central screen.
